Rum Pound Cake Recipe. This is a great basic lighter pound cake recipe. Sift flour and soda together and gradually add to batter.
Sift together the flour and baking powder; set aside. Cook and stir the sauce over medium-low heat until the sugar is dissolved. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
Stir in the rum and vanilla.
Poke holes in the top of the cake with a skewer or toothpick, pour the glaze over.
